Brittney Goes to School
Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did. I was able to spend it with close family and was able to take the time to reflect on my blessings this past year through all the ups and downs.
The semester is almost done. I have only one week left, and still no snow! In the hygiene program, they provide us with a mentor; this is a student in their 2nd year of the program. Mine happens to be my good friend, and she has been incredible. I had the opportunity to shadow her while she was seeing patients in the clinic. She showed me things that I haven’t experienced as of yet in our clinic while practicing on each other. This was my first time seeing how an appointment goes from start to finish. It was eye-opening to connect all the little things we learned this semester and need to know now. While observing, she also showed me a few tricks to help me work more efficiently.
