It's July, which means summer is officially here!  We are waving goodbye to the chilly and rainy spring we've had and are ready to say hello to warmth and sunshine.  July 4th is right around the corner!  We have lots of activities in store: picnicking, golfing, lake time, parade viewing, and of course, watching fireworks!  50 years ago, we didn't have many treats, but we have many great memories of grilling hotdogs, roasting marshmallows, and enjoying glass bottles of Coke.  Nowadays we usually enjoy grilled pork tenderloin.  Check out our recipe:

Grilled Marinated Tenderloin

2-3 pounds beef tenderloin (cut into 2" chunks)

1 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 tsp garlic salt

Bring soy sauce, vinegar, pineapple juice, brown sugar, and garlic salt to a boil in a small pan; boil and stir until sugar is dissolved; let cool slightly; pour over tenderloin pieces and cover tightly for 4-6 hours in the refrigerator; discard marinade and grill to the desired temperature.

How will you celebrate the 4th of July this year? Tell us the next time you visit! Have a happy and safe 4th of July everyone!
