There’s something special about summer, isn’t there? Great weather, late nights, and vacations are all around and our office is ready to get it started. So what’s the first order of business for me? Easy; the food!
My personal summer meal that I love to indulge in would be Wisconsin bratwurst, baked beans, and watermelon – it’s not summer without them. When you couple those summer meals with the outdoors, especially fishing, you have the perfect summer day. There’s also room for a movie in there, and for me, it would have to be Solo: A Star Wars Story. Can’t wait to see it!
Even better, make it a weekend trip and memories will be made. A trip to the lake is on my calendar for this summer and our family cannot wait. Something even more exciting, though, is my 35th wedding anniversary lands on Father’s Day, so we’ll be having a small gathering with family and loved ones. I remember some of the best advice my father gave me was to always be your best, be honest, and work hard. He was a man who led by example, and I admire his tenacity.
